In AL-KOR, which continues to take important steps towards institutionalisation as well as its investments, İskender Ulusay, who has management experience in various positions in the automotive industry for more than 18 years, has been serving as the Chief Executive Officer and General Manager since 1 October.

AL-KOR Board Member Alen Darçin said, "I believe that we will achieve a new and strong synergy at Al-Kor with the addition of İskender Ulusay. As the Board of Directors, I believe that the step taken in our institutionalisation process will be very useful in passing an important stage. In a period when the automotive industry is facing supply chain problems, especially semiconductors, which started with the pandemic and are still ongoing, I believe that we will achieve our company goals with the vision and experience of İskender Ulusay and the contributions of our strong team. As the Board of Directors, we closely follow rapidly advancing technologies and sectoral trends and update our strategies accordingly. We aim to increase our market share in the white goods and defence industry as well as automotive technologies."

İskender Ulusay, Chief Executive Officer and General Manager of AL-KOR, said: "Beyond the fluctuations in the global manufacturing industry, the reality is that the automotive industry is undergoing a transformation. Here, the widespread use of electric and hybrid technologies imposes on us, the industry players, the task of adapting to this trend. I am excited to assume the captaincy of the team with the aim of adding new generation products to the product range with R&D capabilities in its main strategies, developing the ones, expanding the customer network it serves by strengthening its global footprint in its vision and contributing to the team game in this mission. I have no doubt that we will reach our goals step by step with the efforts and support of all my colleagues in order to get bigger shares in the giant markets where we are active. " he said.

We attach importance to a "people-oriented" approach for the future.

Underlining the need for qualified personnel in many sectors, AL-KOR Chairman Berç Darçin said, "Although the automotive sector is going through a challenging period, the future of the sector is being shaped today. We frequently hear about hybrid and electric cars, autonomous levels increasing day by day, and the internet of things in service and ancillary services. With the development of environmental technology, the automobile is transforming from a vehicle into a living space. Due to this change, both as the manager of AL-KOR and as a member of the ISO Professional Committee, we care about our young people, who are our future, and we adopt a multidisciplinary perspective to solve the problems we will encounter. Our main goal is to train qualified technical staff and engineers for the automotive sector, which is the leader of the Turkish economy in exports. We endeavour to work closely with vocational high schools and universities, and in line with this aim, we aim to bring our young people into the automotive industry both as sponsors and through trainings. Last September, Yıldız Technical University Alternative Energy Systems Club, of which we are one of the sponsors, made us proud by winning the first prize in the TÜBİTAK Efficiency Challenge 2021 with their Lyra and Hydra vehicles. In addition to our similar support, we will continue to provide young engineers with the opportunity to work in our R&D centre and to produce solutions for the vehicles of the future in line with the demands of the changing world in line with our domestic production targets."

Emphasising that they will continue to grow in the production of parts for hybrid and electric cars by reducing their carbon footprint, Berç Darçin, Chairman of the Board of Directors of AL-KOR
"AL-KOR, which carries out a significant part of its exports to European OEMs, has started to work on carbon footprint and has intensified its R&D investments in this field in order to have a say in the vehicles of the future. With the contributions of more than 50 R&D engineers experienced in their fields and environmental awareness, AL-KOR aims to add designs consisting of raw materials suitable for recycling to its product range for the vehicles of the future. In this context, it showed that it is ready for the future by introducing its new products and prototypes to the leading companies of the sector at the "Electric Vehicles Day" event organised by TAYSAD in September. " he said.
